World Bank Reaffirms Commitment to Cambodian Nation-Building

PHNOM PENH: The Royal Government of Cambodia and the World Bank are committed to strengthening cooperation on human capital development in Cambodia and in a number of priority areas, including education, health, agriculture, digital technology, environment and climate change.

On January 29, Prime Minister Hun Manet held a meeting with Managing Director of Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos for the World Bank, Mariam J. Sherman.

The Managing Director praised the progress and improvement of Cambodia’s strong and long-lasting relationship with the World Bank and said she was confident that her meeting with the PM would promote further cooperation.

She also commented on the interconnectedness and consistency between the Cambodian government’s Pentagon Strategy and the World Bank’s policies and direction for Cambodia and the world.
